Daramis gave a land plot of 10,000 m² to the Prague 9 Municipal District for the construction of a new school facility in the Zelené Město Heights neighborhood. A building permit should be issued within the next few months, and the first-grade elementary school and kindergarten classes should open no later than September 2026. The last, key plot of land was approved by the Prague City Council last week with Resolution Z-12616.
“We are planning to build a smaller first-grade elementary school and kindergarten. The kindergarten should have one to two classes, each for 24 children, including all the necessary facilities. We are counting on four to five classes in the elementary school, for a maximum of 120 students,” Tomáš Portlík explains.
It is a two-story L-shaped building made of prefabricated containers with the possibility of expanding by another floor above ground; play elements and a natural amphitheater surrounded by greenery are planned in the courtyard. The facade will be a combination of gray-toned plaster and wooden cladding and slats.
Daramis also thought about other children by building a children’s playground and basketball court in the neighbourhood, which will be open to the wider public. The keys were received by the mayor of the Prague 9 district, Mgr. Tomáš Portlík, on Friday, November 1.
